Hello family and friends!
So, this past week has actually been pretty eventful here in Enid
I have enjoyed holding myself accountable for this blog. I am taking more pictures and really remembering moments. Brad even has told his friends, "Oh, now your going to be in our blog." :) Yayy!
Okay, so on to what we have been up to for 7 days, the equivalent of 168 hours, or 10,080 minutes or 604,800 seconds... I know, nerd status.
At the Academy, Brad's roommate his last year was Jon Stephenson, or known as Stev-o around our house. Well, Stev-o's parents, who live in Arkansas, recently called him and told him they had been tending to two beagle puppies they found on their property. Jon drove to Arkansas that next weekend and brought home these two..
Adorable, right? I just want to squeeze them ALL day long. The red collar is Rascal and the blue collar is Remi, both boys. I gave Jon the "Dani REALLY wants to have one of these puppies" look... but it didn't work. So, now we are known as Uncle Bradley and Aunt Danielle to these two handsome hounds. Its quite fun because Jon is under strict rules that he's not allowed at the house unless he brings the "nephews". :) I love them to pieces...
Speaking of - Jon is here for the Super Bowl and the two pups are asleep in my lap. So, of course I had to take pictures...
I just love being a puppy aunt. They even have their own little puppy basket with teddy bears and tennis balls. Rascal prefers to eat the basket instead of play with the toys, but you know, whatever floats his little puppy boat.
Okay, onward James.
This week Brad was issued his gear for flight training.
Here we have:
- Canteen
- Flight gloves
- Knee board
- Flying protractor - Nerd.. Where is the pocket protector?
He was pretty stoked. This can only mean one thing - the countdown to flight school has begun. YES!
Who's this gal? Well my friends, that would be yours truly.
Thank you to Raymond and Shannon for your fabulous genes, for I am now called 4 EYES!
Never, in my entire life have I had any nicknames associated with glasses. I had the braces, the high water jeans but never glasses. Anyway, here is the new look. Thank goodness it's only for reading and working on the computer.
Chuck gave me the greatest compliment, he said I look like my Great Aunt Marilyn in glasses. I don't think there is a greater compliment in the world.
We also got hit by the recent winter storms that swept the midwest. It was 78 degrees last Sunday and then Monday and Tuesday we got dumped with snow. We got about 15 inches, nothing compared to other areas of the country but enough for us.
We decided to pack on the winter gear and go out anyway. We ended up driving around looking for people who might of gotten stuck in the snow. No luck, so we jut drove around squealing the tires - real redneck style.
Saturday night we went bowling with Nick, Erika and Stev-o. We ended up cosmic bowling from 9 pm - midnight. We had a lot of fun just goofing off, trying to mess each other up and eating fried bowling alley food. YUM!
Love the blog. Keep the updates coming.
