The day has FINALLY come... :)

A little behind schedule... sorry.

It has been an EXTREMELY busy week!

First things first, TODAY WAS THE DAY!!!!

Ah man, I wish I would have taken a picture today. That's okay, I will tomorrow.

Today was considered day 0 for Brad, tomorrow is day 1. :)

He reported to work today and sat through several required briefings and was issued his pubs. Or, known better around here as "the-REALLY-large-stack-of-papers-that-will-occupy-our-kitchen-table-for-the-next-6-months." Let me tell you, I don't use that "REALLY large" term lightly. We are talking memorizing a stack of papers about two feet in height. Front to back. Single spaced. Size 8 font. Okay, I exaggerate a little bit but seriously I'm glad its my wonderful and intelligent husband going thru pilot training. Otherwise, well there would be no otherwise. That's why I'm the marketing guru and he's the pilot.

I know this will not be the only time I say this over the next 20+ years, but I LOVE being a military spouse. Of course I love the fact that I am married to a man who will fight for our country and our freedom, a man of integrity and honor, I believe that goes without saying, but I LOVE the benefits of the military.

Last week I utilized the resources offered to military spouses in the area of spouse job placement. Without going into too much detail, I was offered a lot of help and left the meeting with a job interview. Thursday I interviewed for a position as office/marketing assistant with State Farm and lovingly accepted the position they offered. I started Monday and so far I absolutely LOVE it. They are the sweetest group of people I have EVER met. It has been 3 days and I have learned so much about how a company functions in a positive environment. I love the fact that they ask me questions about our life and they talk about Brad like he works there. They tell people who I am and how I came to Enid and brag about Brad being in pilot training, which of course I totally adore. I mean, who wouldn't love this mug:

Anyway, more to come on the job over the next few weeks.

By the way - we got more snow last week. Marh!

Our Valentines was awesome. I came home to this fabulous home cooked meal:

What more could a woman ask for? Presents? Yep, got those too. I have an amazing man!

We are headed to Little Rock, Arkansas this next weekend. Going to visit Raul, Angela and Elsa, Grandpa and Grandma. We are VERY much looking forward to it. Not only will it be a nice get-away, but I really have been anticipating Brad meeting everyone. Of course him meeting Grandpa and Grandma is vitally important, but meeting Raul and Angela will be wonderful. I can't wait to listen to them carry on in conversation about the Academy, pilot training and life after UPT. It will be great fun. Plus, its been too long since I have seen my grandparents.

The next week will be busy, but I will be sure to come back soon.

Oh yeah, and what would a Breedlove blog be without these two?

With love,
