Track Select

August 12, 2011 - Track select

Track select is the first of two anxiety ridden evenings in UPT. Track select is when the pilot-in-training find out the track they are going to take, fighters or heavies.

Brad was anticipating heavies, specifically a T-1 that would keep him in Enid, Oklahoma.

After much anticipation, the curtain was dropped and the surprise revealed:

T-44's - Corpus Christi Naval Air Station

Yep - Much to our surprise the Air Force is shipping us off to Corpus Christi in the next few weeks.

Brad will be under Naval training for the next 8 -12 months as he rounds ups his pilot training.

He seemed pretty shocked at first and not quite sure how to take the news. As time has gone on, he has gotten more and more excited about it and looks forward to the adventure in Corpus.

With flying the T-44's he will most likely end up flying c-130's. His ultimate goal is the C-130J's, which is the newest model of the C-130's and according to his friend that flies them, it is the "Cadillac of airplanes". (:

Much packing and stress lie ahead of us, but we say... bring it on.

Corpus Christi here we come!
