Then there were three...

You read that correctly, but its not what you're thinking!

The last three weeks I have been slightly occupied - this would be the reason why:

Honestly, how can you not LOVE that face?

Everyone - meet Zulu!

Brad and I decided it was time to get a dog. One which would protect me and keep me safe when he is gone, and one that is OBVIOUSLY stinkin' ADORABLE! Right?

We picked up Zulu from the animal shelter here in Enid, Oklahoma. We saved her THE DAY that she was going to be euthanized. ): It was VERY sad and VERY heart breaking because she was in the kennel with another dog and that dog was scheduled to be put down, too. Brad and I were very upset, but knew we could only save one. Let me tell you - I think we are the lucky ones.

Shortly after we brought her home, we noticed she was awful warm and AWFUL lovey. We assumed it was because she was just happy to be saved from the pound. Well, when I came home for lunch one day to check on her, she had gotten sick and had horrible bowels all over our hallway. ): We got her to the vet right away and sure enough, she had the onset of the Parvo disease. It was awful. We hadn't had her a day and a half and I bawled like a baby to leave her.

The animal clinic we chose ended up being the greatest place we could have taken her. They LOVE her and treated her so well. Got her back to good health and she is now ALLLLL puppy.

The vet said she is a chocolate lab mixed with some blood hound or fox terrier. We don't care what she is, though! We LA LA LA LOVE her! She is about four months old and getting ready to lose her teeth.

Zulu is seriously the best! We are in the process of learning not to pee on the carpet, but she's a puppy - we can only expect her to make mistakes. For the most part she does awesome. Per the dog whisperer, we have decided to kennel train her and she does really well! We took her for a road trip this weekend... let's just say she was meant to belong to an Air Force family... she loved the car. More on that to come, though.

She is spoiled rotten, one-of-a-kind, totally awesome and worth every penny! She LOVES to snuggle, loves to play and just loves being at our feet at all times. We certainly love her and are so happy to have her in our family. She already brings us so much joy and unconditional love, especially when we walk in the door from a hard days work.

Oh yeah, and she LOVES to get under our bed! Brad and I are already sad for the day when she doesn't fit under there. In the mornings, she will grab her bone and take it under the bed and just play. It's adorable!

I just LOVE HER TO PIECES!!

Until next time! Zulu says WOOF - clearly puppy for "love you all!"
